Camp program

For the first time in the practice of the “Road to Elite” training camp, we decided to apply a variable component in our program. The camp will consist of seven training areas, each with a holistic training cycle, combining the work of development in each of the areas. And  participants of the camp will be able to independently choose and aggregate the elements of training programs he wants to be trained. In other words, if someone wants to focus on a technic, he will choose a technical program, agility - dexterity, strength - strength, and so on. Well, and the one who comes to work on the development of all the necessary skills will be able to choose our basic training program.

The basic camp program includes work in the following areas:

SKATING TECHNIQUE, STICK HENDLING. The program involves all types of ice-hockey skating training, including work on the consistency of the athlete’s legs, arms and torso. Particular attention will be paid to the effectiveness of movements, as well as minimizing energy costs by optimizing motor action. The work is carried out on the big ice arena of the Red Star.

BALANCE AND STABILITY - this program is designed to form a young athlete with such a fundamental motor quality as agility - the most important factor shaping the future skills of the young hockey player.

POWERSHOT PRACTICE, stickhandling and goal throwing techniques - work in specialized areas and on the small ice arena of the Red Star sports complex, aimed at enhancing the basic skills of puck handling, decision making and final throwing at the goal, as well as doing power work and dexterity.

POWERSKATER PRACTICE - special training in hockey.

Skating is the most important skill in hockey. If you do not feel confident on skates, you will not be able to play. Young hockey players have to fight a lot on the court, compensating for the lack of equipment, the development of which is simply impossible without the development of a special force for its formation.

The training program of POWERSKATER PRACTICE is a training of skating technique in combination with the development of strength qualities and processes of interaction between the hands and feet of an athlete.

The main tool of our program is the ice treadmill coated with synthetic ice, on which the athlete is able to work out any technical element he performs on the ice.

In our program, more than a thousand exercises, which we have combined into seven educational sections, we study it in depth and progressively with our students, shaping their basic playing skills.

This is a man for whom there are no secrets in the physical preparation of players. Working with him for each athlete is a great school.

General physical training - achieving a high level of physical performance, improving physical qualities, aimed at the full and harmonious physical development of an athlete. Increase of functional capabilities, general working capacity, creation of a base and foundation for special training and achievement of high sports results.

Special physical training - the formation of motor skills and abilities, the development of gaming skills, gaming qualities. Work on an unstable surface of all levels of complexity, work with moving loads on specialized PowerAthletics equipment and on ice. Development of peripheral vision and eye-to-arm coordination. Complex work on a specialized obstacle course.
